"The Trip Effect"

Hello reader(s),
Every so often, you stumble upon a person whom has "The Trip Effect". Now, that person has gotten a gift. You know, that sort of gift that you think'll be great and wonderful and then suddenly you get a box of rotten chocolate, or coal. So this person has the ability to trip over anything. And I mean, ANYTHING. They are walking over an un-trippable surface, and then BOOM! There they are, hopelessly sprawled on the floor.  Admit it, you have all seen one. Now brace yourself for a plot twist, that person. Is. Me. I think I have had countless times as I slip and fall on ice, sidewalks, hallways etc. In fact lots of my friends know me as the person who can trip over anything. If you are one of those few people who trip and splat on the floor, I hear ya. The absolute worst part of this is, you have to be outstandingly tall. I am very tall for my age. Now reader I am going to tell you a story.

"The Trip Effect" A pitiful story by Monique Vigneault.
Lunch time. Winter. Snow. Ice. That is what comes to mind as I trip. I decided that it was a good idea to go for a walk off campus with my friends to the little candy store across the street. I was having a nice little walk, talking about whatever it is friends talk about as we approached the street. There it stood, this evil hunk of ice. Blotches of dirt and decay filled that beast of a thing, and I approached it. The light turned green for pedestrians, so me and my friends started to cross the street. And it happened. The tallest person in the whole group of people waiting by the light, collapses suddenly. My legs flew into the air and did some kind of a weird twirl. All that managed to come out of my mouth was : "Ooof."

After everyone saw my wonderful, ungratious fall, I gripped onto that stupid, awful  piece of crap and then it happened again! I fell! Again! This time my feet sliding to the side of the road. Luckily, the next time I was able to get up. So there you have it, the trip effect explained to you by yours truly.
Thanks for reading.

About Me

Hello once again, I wanted to start my second post by talking about the things I love and care for the most. The first of course, being my family. Anyways, here's the list, Enjoy!
1. (Besides my family)
Booooooks. Lots and lots of 'em..
I love books a lot. One of my main purposes in life, being that I want to write a book. The list of my favourite books will come soon.
2.
Star Trek. If you didn't already notice from my last post, I love Star Trek. Mostly the original series.
P.S It is Normal to have a lifesize Spock cutout in your room, right?
3.
Music. Ah, music. My favourite artists being, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac and Phil Collins.
4.
Social Studies or History, whatever fancy-shmancy name your school has for it.
It is probable I spent half of my time learning a lot about history. I spend a lot of my days doing that.
5.
Writing. I guess you could fit that into the books category, but what the heck, I have no better ideas. I like plenty more things, but your eyes are probably already sore.

Anyways, you just learned what a complete stranger loves! Yay! Gold star for you, reader!

P.S Feel free to comment on any of these posts, I don't mind.

My First Blog! Welcome Reader!!

So this is how it feels to write a blog. Just writing, not really expecting anyone to read what you say, but by a little inch of hope, maybe just maybe someone will read your posts. Well, let me introduce myself, my middle name is not really Bookish, but I wish it was. Let me explain why I wanted this blog. I wanted to have a place I could write and be free, and maybe find someone who agrees. Fat chance. Anyways, reader, if you stuck around to read my blubbering this long, I would cordially like to thank you. So this is my first blog. Not much but it is a start. So please reader, allow me to reward you with this entertaining video of Dr. McCoy and his "I'm a Doctor not a.."
 Thanks,
Monique (Bookish) Vigneault
